Man found fatally shot in parking lot on Indianapolis' northwest side

Officers hear shots before arriving

INDIANAPOLIS - A man was fatally shot on Indianapolis' northwest side early Sunday morning.

Indianapolis police were called to 4360 W. 38th St., near Lafayette Square Mall, just before 2 a.m.

"When officers arrived, they heard several shots," said spokesman Christopher Wilburn.

The victim was identified as Tony Muse, 22, of Indianapolis. He had been shot in the head in a parking lot, police said.

Muse was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are investigating the shooting death. Investigators asked anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.
