Man gets 185-year sentence in Indianapolis DJ's death

Man sentenced after Thomas Keys' shooting death

INDIANAPOLIS - A man has been sentenced to 185 years in prison after he was convicted on eight charges in the shooting death of an Indianapolis DJ.

James McDuffy, 30, had been charged in connection with the death of Thomas Keys in a recording studio on East 46th Street in November 2012.

Marvin Finney was also shot multiple times, but he survived.

Police arrested four additional men, believing they planned the killing in retaliation for another death involving one of their relatives.

McDuffey was also sentenced on charges of attempted murder, kidnapping, robbery and conspiracy.
