INDIANAPOLIS -- One man is in custody after a police chase ended on Indianapolis' southeast side.

Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department say a woman called police saying she was being harassed by her boyfriend. When police arrived at the house, the woman showed them a nearby gas station, where the boyfriend was at the time.

The man then got into his truck and drove away, with police chasing him.

The chase ended in the 2200 block of Churchman Avenue when the man got out of his truck, then slipped and fell on ice.

As police tried to take him into custody, he resisted and kicked an officer. Police then used a Taser on him. They also put a hood on his head because he was spitting on the officers.

It took several officers to get him into the back of the wagon.

He was wanted on warrants for driving with a suspended license and driving while intoxicated. Police have not released the man's identity.
