CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. - Police are trying to determine who shot a man on his tractor in a rural area southwest of Crawfordsville.
The Montgomery County Sheriff's Department said the shooting happened just after 9 p.m. at 2460 West 300 South.
When officers arrived, they found Josh Tribby, 40, had been shot in the chest.
"Mr. Tribby had driven his tractor to his barn when he heard a single gunshot. Soon after hearing the gunshot, Mr. Tribby realized he had been struck in the chest," read part of a news release.
Police said Tribby drove the tractor back to his home to seek help.
Tribby was taken to a Crawfordsville hospital and was then flown to St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
