INDIANAPOLIS - An Indianapolis man claims he was stabbed by his boyfriend after he refused to get him more liquor.
An officer was flagged down Thursday night in the 6800 block of East 21st Street by a man yelling that he had been stabbed, according to a police report.
The man told police he had been staying at the King's Inn with his boyfriend, Eric Sharp, 40, who had been drinking that night.
The man said Sharp had asked him to go buy him more liquor, but that he didn't have any money, and the two began to quarrel.
That's when Sharp hit the victim in the head and kicked him in the ribs before grabbing a large knife and stabbing him in the back of the leg, according to the report.
Investigators said they recovered a bloody knife from the men's hotel room.
Police found Sharp at a nearby gas station. He was taken into custody and later arrested on a preliminary charge of battery.
