ALEXANDRIA, Ind. - A man suffered lacerations on his neck after driving his snowmobile over a wire Monday morning.

Brian E. Carmichael, 23, of Alexandria, Ind., told Madison County sheriff's deputies that he ran his snowmobile over a wire between two fence posts, the Herald Bulletin reported.

Carmichael said the wire came over the front of the snowmobile and hit his neck, knocking him to the ground.

Carmichael was taken to Community Hospital in Anderson for treatment.

Investigators said Carmichael was not wearing any protective gear at the time of the accident.
