Marian University cheerleader injured during routine is back in class

INDIANAPOLIS – A Marian University cheerleader and Indiana Pacemate who was injured after she fell during a performance routine is out of the hospital and back to school.

Nici Denney was injured during the first quarter of the Marian v Lindenwood game at St. Vincent Field on October 17.

A Marian University spokesperson said Denney was thrown in the air during a stunt and came crashing down, landing hard on the track just off the football field.

She is now back to class and will get a shout out at Saturday's football game - the last home game of the regular season for Marian University which is number in their division.
