INDIANAPOLIS - A man charged in the kidnapping and rape of two women in Avon has been formally charged for Marion County crimes, prosecutors announced Thursday.
Michael Parrish, 37, is facing 35 counts ranging from burglary to rape for his suspected involvement in a home invasion and the abduction and rape of two women in Indianapolis.
According to court documents, Parrish and three accomplices broke into a home on LaSalle Street and held the homeowner at knifepoint while they ransacked the house and stole valuables.
Later that same evening, courts documents say, Parrish abducted two women at gunpoint near Michigan Street and Berwick Avenue and forced them to drive to other locations, where he sexually assaulted them.
The women told police Parrish had two knives and two guns, and he told them to, "be smarter on who they run into."
The next day, Parrish admitted to police, the suspect abducted and raped two more women in Hendricks County. Police said Parrish is also suspected of robbing a woman in the parking lot of a Plainfield Kohl's.
Parrish is facing 15 charges in Hendricks County.
Parrish's criminal history dates back to 1993 and includes multiple convictions in Sullivan and Marion counties for crimes including criminal confinement, arson, intimidation and battery with bodily waste.
