INDIANAPOLIS -- Voting is just four weeks away in what could be a historic primary election in Indiana.
And if you go to the poll in Marion County, you might notice something different this time around.
"It's a very hot topic right now," Myla Eldridge said.
Eldridge is not alone these days, closely watching the race for the White House. But as clerk of Marion County, she has been on a mission to make sure May 3 goes off without a hitch, rolling out new voting gear county-wide after 15 years.
"It was inevitable that Marion County had to buy new voting equipment," she said.

In the works for roughly four years, come May 3 there will be a change at roughly 300 polling places.
"It's relatively the same. We just have new voting equipment to make the process easier for the voters and for our poll workers," Eldridge said.
Public tests the past few days have been flawless, but with computers there's always at least a chance of a glitch.
"We have to be realistic about things, but with something new, with change, it's possible there could be some kinks, but we have a plan b and we are confident that everything will go well on May 3," she said.
And while Indiana zeroes in on that date, Eldridge is ready for the day after.
"I will be elated! I will be elated" she said.
The deadline to register to vote in Indiana's primary is Monday. If you haven't registered Monday night, you won't be allowed to cast a ballot in the primary. Early voting begins the next day and runs through Monday, May 2.
