WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, Ind. -- An October 4 groundbreaking is planned for two new elementary schools in the Metropolitan School District of Washington Township.

The construction of Willow Lake Elementary School and Clearwater Elementary School follows voters’ approval of a $185 million referendum in November 2016.

Willow Lake is slated to be built at 7535 Harcourt Road. Clearwater will be located at 3575 E. 79th Street.

Willow Lake and Clearwater elementary schools will replace Harcourt and Wyandotte elementary schools, respectively. Both buildings closed in 2008.
