Martinsville interim superintendent resigns

Brower steps down after less than 3 months

MARTINSVILLE, Ind. - The interim superintendent of the Metropolitan School District of Martinsville announced his resignation Tuesday afternoon.

Robert Brower announced he was leaving the position after less than three months with the school district.

Brower replaced Ron Furniss in January. Furniss served as superintendent for 14 years.

The Board of School Trustees was in the process of interviewing candidates and will appoint a replacement as soon as possible.
