INDIANAPOLIS - A Martinsville man has died after a two-car crash on I-465 Wednesday morning.
Police said Donald Lee Jr., 45, was stationary on the inside shoulder of I-465 in a 1998 Buick when his vehicle abruptly crossed the highway, striking the outside guard rail.
Witnesses reported that the car then crossed back across I-465, striking the inside guard rail. Lee's vehicle then again crossed I-465, hitting the outside guard rail, before it was struck by a Freightliner semi-tractor trailer, driven by Alphonse Turner Jr., 57, of Indianapolis.
Lee was found to be unresponsive and was transported to St. Francis Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Turner was not injured.
Investigators believe Lee may have suffered a medical condition prior to the incident.
