INDIANAPOLIS - Mayor Greg Ballard vetoed two proposals passed by the Democratic controlled City-County Council Friday.
One measure would have diverted RebuildIndy money from infrastructure to public safety.
He said the use of one-time money for an ongoing expense is unsound fiscal policy.
Ballard said he kept his commitment of using money generated from the sale of the water utility to improve infrastructure.
The other proposal concerned a second round of redistricting.
Ballard insisted the maps he approved in January are fair and comply with the state law.
