INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett challenged people in the city to clean up the litter in the city through the "It's My City" initiative.
Inspired by what former mayor Bill Hudnut started 40 years ago, the initiative aims to spark a recommitment to civic engagement in Indianapolis.
"We're going to focus in 2017 on making Indianapolis cleaner," Hogsett said on Good Morning Indiana Wednesday. "In 2018, the emphasis will be on making Indianapolis greener."
In 2019, the focus will be on making Indianapolis as beautiful as possible.
To commemorate the 40 years since Hudnut's initiative (and the "Hudnut Hook") Hogsett recreated the shot in a commercial.
