Tonya Weindorf killed in church bus crash

INDIANAPOLIS - A mother killed Saturday in the overturned church bus crash near Interstate 465 and 96th Street will be remembered at a memorial service Thursday at Colonial Hills Baptist Church.

Tonya Weindorf was one of three people killed in the deadly crash. Couple Chad and Courtney Phelps were killed and dozens of others were injured when their bus returning from a summer camp in Michigan overturned coming off I-465.

Weindorf, a mother of five, was a chaperone on the trip. Her family members said they're working on coming to terms with her death and that they are holding on to their faith during the trying time.

Weindorf's visitation was scheduled to be held Thursday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Her funeral was set for Friday at 10:30 a.m.
