INDIANAPOLIS - Indianapolis police are searching for two men wanted in the violent robbery of two women in front of a child.

The robbery happened the night of Oct. 12 in the parking lot of an apartment complex near 46th Street and Binford Boulevard.

A woman had just parked her car when she was approached by a man who pulled and gun and demanded her things, police said.

At the same time, a woman still sitting in the car was threatened by another man, who took both of the women's purses, police said.

A 4-year-old was in the back seat of the car at the time. The women and the child were not injured.

Later that night, the victims' credit cards were used at the Citgo gas station at East 34th Street and North Emerson Avenue and at the Walgreens at East 38th Street and North Sherman Drive, where pictures of the men were captured on surveillance video, police said.

The man who threatened the first woman was described as black, 20 to 25 years old and wearing a white hooded sweatshirt with a colored pattern.

The second robber was described as black, 20 to 23 years old and wearing a blue terrycloth hooded sweatshirt.

The men were driving a white four-door Chevrolet Impala.

Anyone with information is asked to call robbery detectives at 317-327-3475 or Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.
