An Indianapolis mom wants answers after she says her 5-year-old son was dropped off at the wrong bus stop and left to get home on his own.

Kaila Layton says her kindergartner Elijeah was more than two hours late getting home and had to go through several dangerous intersections to get there.

His sister says she told their bus monitor her brother wasn't on yet, but the driver left anyway, leaving Elijeah to wait for two hours at their school.

Layton said he was dropped off at a nearby CVS -- five blocks away from the house.

She says she expects better from IPS and its bus drivers.

"Don't have us waiting forever, and definitely don't just leave our kids wherever you feel like dropping him off," she said.

A spokesman for IPS said the district was investigating the issue.
