Illinois earthquake was felt in parts of Indiana

EVANSVILLE, Ind. -- A 3.8 magnitude earthquake was felt in southwestern parts of Indiana Tuesday morning.

The earthquake occurred seven miles from Albion, Illinois at 7:47 a.m.

According to the United States Geological Survey, people in Evansville, Bloomington, Terre Haute and even as far as Muncie felt the earthquake.

The earthquake caused very light damage, the Associated Press reported.
