INDIANAPOLIS - For another year, Indianapolis is making itself home to the Monumental Marathon. Including a half-marathon and 5K course, the event draws thousands to town during the height of crisp fall weather. For race-goers and travelers alike, that means knowing the details of the event.
The marathon itself begins at 8 a.m., with the 5K and half-marathon starting a bit later. Find the entire race weekend's proceedings here. Roads are expected to open back up to traffic by roughly 2:45 p.m. Saturday.

A significant chunk of Indy will be involved in the race. Spanning dozens of blocks in each direction, it covers the heart of the city. Check out the main course map here. Plus, find the 5K course map here.
Plus, closed streets due to foot traffic means altered IndyGo bus routes. IndyGo's site has details on interruptions to bus services Saturday.
