Mooresville, Ind. – One couple who struggled for years to become pregnant were given shocking news. Instead of having one baby, they were actually having quadruplets.

Six years ago, Miles and Natasha Collett married and became foster parents to two boys, now ages 10 and 12, but they weren’t able to successfully conceive.

Natasha said she has polycystic ovary syndrome, or PCOS, that causes hormonal imbalance and metabolism problems.

Eventually the couple decided to try fertility treatments. Earlier this year they took out a bank loan for Intrauterine Insemination, also known as, IUI.

For the Collett’s this expensive treatment was their final attempt to become pregnant.

“Figured if it happened it happened, if it didn't, we were going to continue with being foster parents and bring kids in and do that,” said Miles.

Due to their past experiences, the couple doubted their first positive pregnancy test.

Natasha went to the doctor to confirm the test and the doctor gave her some surprising news.

"I start laughing and our person doing the ultrasound said, 'they really love that you are laughing because they started going crazy,'” said Natasha.  “They were getting even more movement, moving their arms and legs and kicking and going crazy so that was my moment. "

The couple said they think about the financial support needed to care for four children, but their excitement normally outweighs the stress.

Natasha is expected to deliver in late January.
