More than 100 crashes keep Indiana road crews busy

More than 100 weather-related crashes reported

INDIANAPOLIS -  

Indiana state troopers stayed busy early Wednesday working more than 100 weather related crashes throughout central Indiana.

From 6 p.m. Tuesday through 8 a.m. Wednesday, troopers were dispatched to 61 car crashes, 63 property damage crashes and 20 injury crashes.

In Noblesville, a crash blocked State Road 37 and Field Drive Wednesday morning. Two cars collided at the intersection, injuring both drivers. The impact of the crash spun both vehicles into a ditch near the intersection. Both drivers were taken to Riverside Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

In another incident along Interstate 65 near exit 90, one trooper suffered minor injuries while working on a crash, and three ISP vehicles were damaged when they were struck by other vehicles on Interstate 74 and Interstate 465.

In northwest Wayne County, a crash blocked U.S. 35 at Taylor Road. No injuries were reported in the crash.

Indiana State Police Troopers are working the crash on US 35 at Taylor road in northwest Wayne County. There were no injuries, but the roadway is blocked - a picture is attached.
