INDIANAPOLIS -- Amid President Donald Trump's latest attempt to stop refugee travel from six predominately Muslim countries, Hoosiers from Muslim, Jewish and Christian faiths joined together Sunday to show their support for refugees.

Multiple speakers shared their own refugee experiences at Meridian Street United Methodist Church, explaining the Syrian conflict and giving messages of support.

The conflict in Syria has displaced nearly 13 million people. Nearly half of them are children.

Last year, a federal appeals court blocked then-Governor Mike Pence to keep Syrian refugees out of Indiana.
