CLARKS HILL, Ind. - After battling flames all night, firefighters were still on the scene of a large plant fire in Tippecanoe County near the Clinton County line early Sunday.

The fire broke out at the Industrial Pallet Corporation near U.S. 52 and State Road 28, about 15 miles south of Lafayette, on Saturday night.

Lafayette Fire Department assistant fire chief Steve Butram said the fire burned for several hours before it was discovered.

Firefighters from 22 departments were called in to fight the flames.

Water was trucked in from Lafayette and other sources after the Clarks Hill water tower was emptied.

The fire was visible for several miles.

No injuries were reported.
