MUNCIE, Ind. -- A Muncie father was found guilty on all counts Monday in connection with the death of his 5-month-old son.

Cory Wallace, 23, was arrested in August 2015 on six felony charges including neglect of a dependent resulting in death, aggravated battery and arson.

His 5-month-old son, Jensen, was pronounced dead following a fire at the family's house in February 2015. An autopsy later determined that the baby died prior to the fire due to blunt force trauma to the head.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Wallace admitted to police on that he "accidentally" dropped Jensen onto hardwood floor. Wallace said he "freaked out" and didn't call for medical help.

When he checked on the baby later, Wallace said he could tell Jensen was dead.

Wallace told police he then decided to start a fire in Jensen's room by lighting paper on fire and throwing it into a box of clothing.
