MUNCIE, Ind. - A Muncie teen was shot in the mouth in what police said was likely an accident.

Officers were called to a home in the 600 block of West Jackson Street at 7:13 p.m. Wednesday, where they found the teen suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was taken to IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. Police said his injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.

Police said they believe the shooting actually happened at another home downtown and involved only the two juveniles.
