MUNCIE, Ind. -- Muncie's finest are striking a pose - a very hot pose - to raise funds for a good cause.

With the help of local photographer Amanda Hudson Kishel, the Muncie Police Department is putting together a 2018 police officer calendar with some steamy photos you won't want to miss.

The calendars will be sold to raise money for the Muncie Police Department Domestic Violence Unit.

Detective Jami Brown said the officers really got into the project. With roughly 100 officers on the force, about 25 of them will be featured calendar.

The department posted a preview of one of the photos on their Facebook page earlier this month which has been shared more than 2,500 times.

Brown said they had originally planned to print just 300 calendars but due to the overwhelming response on social media from their preview, they’re now planning to print thousands.

It wasn't just the men that hammed it up for the cameras though, there's a little something for everyone in their much-anticipated calendar.

The calendars will go on sale sometime in September for $20 each. The Muncie Police Department will advertise where you can buy them on their Facebook page.

All funds raised from the sale of the calendar will go to the department's domestic violence unit.

After they release the calendars, Brown said the department is planning a meet and greet with the community so that people can get their calendars signed if they want.
