INDIANAPOLIS - An early morning shooting on the city's northeast side left one man dead and another in serious condition, police confirmed.
Indianapolis police (IMPD) said just after 1 a.m. Wednesday, officers headed to the 2800 block of North Gladstone Avenue after someone called in reporting a shooting.
When IMPD arrived, they found one man with gunshot wounds inside an SUV that was sitting in the middle of the street. He was pronounced dead when EMS crews arrived.
That man was identified as Ronald Howard, 29, of Indianapolis.
Officers found a second man also suffering from multiple gunshot wounds on the porch of a nearby house. Emergency crews took him to Eskenazi Health. He was later identified as Jermaine Sisk, 31, of Indianapolis.
IMPD has not identified the victims, but detectives did find what they believe to be narcotic evidence at the scene of the shooting. Investigators said they don't believe the incident was random, and have not yet released information on the shooter or shooters.
