Neighbors say South Split construction is noisy, shaking homes
Last Updated: 93 days ago
INDIANAPOLIS - INDOT officials said they are doing the best they can to keep the noise from the South Split project to a minimum for those who live nearby the major construction project.
The project has completely closed the area for two months to lower the pavement under several bridges that have been repeatedly scraped by semis driving below them.
Officials said they know it is noisy, but it is only temporary and the noisiest part of the project will be the first few days as concrete is torn up.
After that, residents will only have to worry about the sounds of normal construction traffic.
