INDIANAPOLIS -- On a cold, wet Wednesday in December, business is good indoors – and at Quills Coffee just off the canal.
Quills and Burgerhaus are two of three restaurants on the canal walk. On Wednesday, plans moved forward to add more restaurants – along with retail and more apartments.
Chase Sorrick and investment Property Advisors are looking to double-down and add a second phase and more apartments to the 95 percent full Nine on Canal complex. To make it happen, the developer is asking for a 10-year, 40-percent tax abatement.
Construction is set to begin in February, with new apartments and restaurants opening in July 2017.
