CARMEL, Ind. - New regulations are coming to the Monon Trail for bicyclists and dog walkers in Carmel after a unanimous approval by the Carmel City Council Monday evening.
The rules include allowing police to enforce the speed limits on the trail, bicyclists cannot ride on the trail more than two wide and drivers can be ticketed for turning right in front of a bicyclist in a bike lane.
The new rules also say that those walking dogs with retractable leashes will have new restrictions on how far they can let their dogs go.
The council passed the new regulations in a 7-0 vote.
