INDIANAPOLIS - A former North Central High School coach was arrested this week on charges of child seduction, RTV6 has learned.
Matthew R. Carrington, 36, of Indianapolis, had been employed as the assistant high school swim coach at North Central since December 2012, according to a statement released by Washington Township officials.
Administrators said Carrington's employment was terminated on Tuesday for alleged "inappropriate and unacceptable communications" between him and a student.
According to a probable cause affidavit filed Thursday, the mother of a female North Central student found inappropriate texts between Carrington and her daughter – some with explicit sexual content.
Carrington was arrested Thursday on felony charges of fondling or touching a child between 16 and 17 years old.
