NORTH SALEM, Ind. - Officials asked North Salem residents to dramatically reduce and minimize their water use Sunday afternoon due to a town main water supply line leak.

Water levels are dangerously low in the town of North Salem, a media release said.

State Road 236 was closed north of the 100 block of East Pearl Street and south of the State Road 75 junction for repairs to the underground town main water supply line, the release said.

The road is open and residents can return to normal water consumption and usage.

Residents with questions can call (765) 676-6210.
