Northwest High School student sought in Indianapolis school BB gun shooting

INDIANAPOLIS - Northwest High School was locked down Wednesday morning after a BB gun shooting involving students, authorities said.

Four people were seen running outside near the school just before 10 a.m., and one appeared to have a gun, Indianapolis Public Schools officials said.

School police initally apprehended two students, and a third came in with what appeared to be welts caused by BB pellets, officials said.

The injuries were not believed to be serious.

A fourth student was apprehended Wednesday afternoon. Two BB guns were also recovered, school officials said.

The school was placed on lockdown shortly after the incident.
