INDIANAPOLIS -- The National Weather Service confirmed Tuesday a severe storm that hit Central Indiana over the weekend produced a tornado in Montgomery County.
The NWS said the EF-0 tornado touched down at 8:38 p.m. and was on the ground for 0.1 miles. Its peak wind speeds were estimated at 70 miles per hour.

The tornado touched down in a field. No damage or injuries were reported.
It was the second tornado to hit Central Indiana in a week.
On April 28, an EF-1 tornado touched down in Boone County, destroying a barn and damaging a home in Zionsville.

No injuries were reported from that tornado either.
