INDIANAPOLIS - A Metro police officer was in the hospital Friday after getting in a scuffle with a teenager at an east side home.
The officer was called to the 4100 block of Hoyt Avenue around 11:30 a.m. on a call of a domestic disturbance.
In an effort to try to subdue a teenage girl at the scene, the officer ended up hitting her head.
The officer was not badly hurt, but she was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
The teenage girl went to juvenile detention.
