INDIANAPOLIS – A police officer who noticed a student having a bad day showed him a little extra attention after a high-five rally at Anna Brochhausen School 88 Monday.

Sgt. Precious Cornner-Jones is with Indiana State Capitol Police. She posted a photo on her Facebook page capturing the moment she and the boy experienced after he fell to the ground in frustration.

In the post she said, “This little fella was having a rough morning and fell out on the floor. I saw his mother step back and look. She stated this is how he is expressing himself lately. I decided to get on his level and talk to him.”

She continued, “As an adult sometimes all we want is one person to stop, get on our level and maybe wipe our tears.”
