FILLMORE, Ind. – The body of a missing kayaker was found by conservation officers in Putnam County late Thursday morning.
Indiana Department of Natural Resources officers found the body of 27-year-old Robert Simms about three-fourths of a mile downstream of where his kayak was found along Big Walnut Creek
Water crews began searching over the weekend for Simms after he was last seen Saturday around 9:30 p.m. in a green kayak.
Crews searched the creek until 2 a.m. Sunday and resumed at 8 a.m., due to foggy weather.
