INDIANAPOLIS - A Hendricks County Sheriff's Department deputy has been dismissed over allegations of using "unreasonable" force in the jail.
Sgt. Kris Allen, who has been with the department for eight years, was suspended Monday and fired Tuesday for the incident that reportedly occurred on Saturday.
An official with the department said the incident that led to the dismissal was caught by surveillance cameras at the jail, which showed "use of unreasonable force" on an inmate, Chad Mitchell.
The case has been referred to the prosecutor's office.
This is the third Hendricks County deputy facing trouble in a week's time. Two others are facing termination for unknown reasons.
