INDIANAPOLIS - Indianapolis police officers are still looking for a man after arresting another man in connection with a carjacking Friday evening.
Police responded to a report of a car jacking at 8:30 p.m. on the 2100 block of Waterford Place. They arrived to find an unharmed victim who said she'd been carjacked at gunpoint.
An IMPD K-9 officer quickly identified the suspect vehicle on the 3800 block of Clifton Street. As the officer began following the suspect vehicle, it pulled into a residence on the 3700 block of Governors Road, whereupon the driver and passenger ran from their vehicle.
The driver was apprehended by the officer's K-9 partner after ignoring repeated verbal commands to stop. The passenger continued running.
A further search of the area did not immediately turn up the second man.
IMPD is asking anyone in the 3700 block of Clifton Street that sees anything suspicious around garages or other outside dwellings to call 911 immediately.
No physical description of the passenger was provided.
