One killed in Lawrence shooting
INDIANAPOLIS - One person was killed Saturday night in a shooting in Lawrence.
Lawrence police confirmed that a victim had been shot at the Salem Court Apartments, located at 7007 Courthouse Drive.
Police said the victim, identified as 25-year-old Jimi Madison, was struck in the torso and was taken to Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis in serious condition.
Doctors declared Madison dead at 8:30 p.m.
Details about the cause of the shooting or any suspects were not immediately released.
