INDIANAPOLIS -- A 26-year-old man was shot and killed Thursday night near a far-east side apartment complex.
The shooting occurred around 9:45 p.m. on the 3000 block of Bavarian East Drive, where the Bavarian Village Apartments are located.

When police arrived to the scene, they found the victim in the backseat of a vehicle, with at least one gunshot wound. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim was identified Friday afternoon as 26-year-old Ramon Carver.
Detectives believe that the victim may have been shot at another location inside the apartment complex and then ran to the car. Detectives have not released suspect information, but are following-up on several promising leads, according to IMPD.
