INDIANAPOLIS -- One woman was killed in a crash on Indianapolis' east side Wednesday morning.

Officials say the one-car crash happened near the intersection of New York Street and Bradley Avenue, around 5:30 a.m.

Police say a car was traveling east and going too fast on New York Street when the driver tried to make a sharp left turn, went over an embankment in a yard, then flipped over. The woman, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was ejected and killed.

She has been identified as Antoinette Johnson, 23. Her mother said she was seven months pregnant. She also had three other young children.

The male driver ran from the scene, and police are looking for him. He is about 5-foot-9, 160 pounds, wearing a black hoodie and tan pants. Police say they know who he is, but he has not been found.

Police are also looking for another woman who they think also ran from the area. They haven't released a description of that woman.

Another man was in the back of the car when the crash happened. He was interviewed by police, but was not able to provide much information to detectives.

Police are not sure if drugs, alcohol or speed were factors in the crash.
