One person shot and killed on city's NE side

INDIANAPOLIS -- One person was shot and killed on the city's northeast side Sunday evening. 

The shooting happened just before 6:00 p.m. near 30th Street and Baltimore. 

The victim was taken to Eskenazi Health in critical condition, where he was pronounced dead. 

Monday morning, police released the identity of the victim as Anthony Morris, 18, Indianapolis.

Police have not released information about a suspect or the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

This is the third deadly shooting scene police have responded to this weekend. Early Sunday two people were found shot and killed in an SUV on the north side early Sunday morning.

On Saturday, one person was killed in a shooting on the city's northeast side. Police were called to the 4400 block of North Campbell Avenue around 2:00 p.m. When they arrived, they found one man in the street who had been shot. He died at the scene. 

Police have identified him as Charles Turner, 30, of Indianapolis.

A short time lime later police found another man with multiple gunshot wounds in the area of Audubon Road and Radnor Road. He was later determined to be the suspect. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition. 

A few hours earlier, police responded to the south side of the city for two shootings they say the same man was responsible for. Just after 10:00 a.m., officers responded to the Marriott Hotel located in the 4600 block of Southport Crossings Drive on a report of a person shot. When they arrived, they found Sarah McKinney, 23, with multiple gunshot wounds. She was taken to the hospital in critical, but stable condition.

Shortly after, officers responded to the 2900 block of Carson Drive for a person shot. When they arrived, they found Darryl Nichols, 37, of Indianapolis with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital in critical, but stable condition. 

According to police, Thompson and McKinney, who were in the process of breaking up, have two children together. McKinney had recently filed an order of protection against Thompson. Thompson was arrested a few hours after the shooting in Joliet, Illinois.
