INDIANAPOLIS -- One person and a dog were shot on the city's south side Sunday morning.

The shooting happened in the 500 block of East Mills Avenue shortly before 10:30 a.m.

According to police, someone went into a home and shot a person and then the dog.

There is no word on the victim's condition or the condition of the pet.
