INDIANAPOLIS - The northbound lanes of Interstate 465 were blocked near Interstate 74 on the city's west side Friday morning after a tractor-trailer overturned during rush hour.
The crash was reported just before 7:30 a.m. when the semi carrying 44,000 pounds of lead pipe flipped onto its side and skidded along the northbound lanes of I-465.

The truck driver, Dennis Lammert, 56, of Missouri, suffered slight injuries to his arm. His wife and two dogs were in the truck with him but they were not hurt, police said.
The northbound lanes of I-465 were shut down for several hours as crews worked to clear the scene. The ramp was expected to reopen after noon..
Drivers were advised to avoid the area and find alternate routes.
