INDIANAPOLIS -- Park Tudor has hired a law firm to conduct an independent investigation focusing on the allegations against former Park Tudor basketball coach Kyle Cox and any similar claims against Cox or other school employees.
Cox was arrested on charges of coercion and enticement last week after he allegedly sent messages to persuade a 15-year-old to send sexually explicit pictures to him. He also allegedly attempted to get the 15-year-old to engage in sexual activity.

"The past few weeks have been very difficult and painful for the Park Tudor community," a letter to faculty, parents, and alumni from Park Tudor School Board of Directors President Rob Brown said.
The letter says the school has hired Larry Mackey and the law firm of Barnes & Thornburg LLP to conduct the investigation. Before working for Barnes & Thornburg in 1998, Mackey worked as a state prosecutor and for more than 18 years worked as a federal prosecutor. He was a member of the prosecution team against Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh.
A review of Park Tudor's existing child protection policies, procedures and practices will also be done.
"We will continue to support the victim and her family. We can also assure you that our school will be fully cooperative with law enforcement as its investigation continues and the prosecution of Kyle Cox goes forward," the letter said. "We are deeply saddened that the Kyle Cox matter occurred at our school and share with the entire Park Tudor community your anguish and concern."
The letter asks if anyone within the community is aware of any conduct on the part of Kyle Cox or any other member of the Park Tudor administration, faculty or staff that has made any student feel uncomfortable to contact a member of the administration, faculty or staff member they trust or they can contact Barnes & Thornburg directly.
Sources tell Call 6 Investigates they will also be looking into specific missteps the school made during the course of the criminal investigation.
The investigation is expected to take 30 days.
