LAWRENCE, Ind. -- A police pursuit ended after a vehicle crashed into an apartment building in Lawrence Monday evening.
An Indiana State Police Trooper was attempting to pull over a red Ford Focus for speeding near the 3600 block of north Post Road around 8:15 p.m. when the driver refused to stop.
State police say the driver then headed north on Post Road and through the intersection of 42nd Street before crashing into an apartment complex while trying to make a turn.
The suspect, Michael Bland, 37, was taken into custody.
Occupants inside the apartment were checked out by the Indianapolis Fire Department but no injuries were reported.
Bland is charged with resisting law enforcement with a vehicle. More charges may be filed.
The incident remains under investigation.
