INDIANAPOLIS -- A person is dead after being hit by a vehicle on Indy's south side Monday evening.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police were called to National Avenue and Developer's Row around 11 p.m. for a report of a person who had been hit.
Police say a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle. They were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not been released.
Police say the vehicle involved in the accident fled the scene. They do not have a description at this time.
