Traffic back to normal after biker struck by car

IMPD: Accident was likely biker's fault

INDIANAPOLIS - A person was was struck by a vehicle just north of downtown Friday afternoon, officials said.

The crash in the 2100 block of Meridian Street closed traffic in both directions of Meridian Street just before 4 p.m., officials with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said.

Police on the scene said the person hit was on a bike and the accident appeared to be the biker's fault for weaving in and out of traffic.

The person was in stable condition, police said.

Meridian Street was expected to reopen just after 4:30 p.m.
