Person killed in Muncie house fire

MUNCIE, Ind -- One person died Wednesday night in a house fire in Muncie, Indiana.

The fire broke out in the 1400 block of Granville Avenue around 10:15 p.m.

The victim has not been identified. 

This is the fifth fatal or serious fire in central Indiana in three weeks.

On Nov. 21, four young sisters were killed in a house fire in Carroll County.

Then on Dec. 1, a 15-year-old wheelchair-bound Warren Central High School student was killed on Indianapolis' far east side.

Two children and a woman were killed in Brazil, Indiana on Dec. 5.
